1. Scope
This privacy policy applies to the Android app “Wimmelwiesel – Flink gerechnet!”. When visiting the website or using an app store, the privacy notices published there also apply.

3. Data stored locally by the app
Wimmelwiesel is used without an online account. The following information and learning data may be stored in the protected app area on the device:
- Profile name or nickname and grade level,
- Selected weasel picture and personal settings,
- Answers, mistakes, practice times and learning progress,
- Achievements, badges, collections and local scoring rounds.
This data is processed to provide the selected learning features. Wherever possible, use a nickname for children instead of their full name.
4. No transmission by the app
The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking services, server login or online leaderboard. It does not request internet permission and does not transmit profile names, answers, mistakes or learning progress to Mannibest or a leaderboard server.
Local high scores compare only profiles and scoring rounds on the same device. The app does not access the camera, microphone, contacts or location.
5. Retention and deletion
Local data remains stored until the relevant profile is deleted in the app or the app data is removed through Android settings. Uninstalling normally removes internal app data. Backups you create and exported worksheets are unaffected and must be deleted separately from their chosen storage location.
Because learning progress is not transmitted to Mannibest, Mannibest cannot view this data or delete it remotely.
6. Backups and PDF worksheets
All profiles and learning progress can optionally be backed up as a JSON file and restored later. Worksheets you create can also be saved as PDF files. You choose the file name and storage location yourself through the Android file dialog.
The app does not additionally encrypt exported files. Keep backups secure. If you select a cloud service as the storage location, its provider processes the file under its own privacy policy. Automatic Android cloud backup and automatic device transfer of internal learning data are disabled.
7. Text-to-speech and local media
Bundled music, pictures and learning media are played locally. For read-aloud features, the app can use the Android speech service configured on your device. Depending on the selected speech service and installed voice, that service may process texts online. Mannibest has no control over this. An offline voice may be available in Android settings.
8. Contacting us
Opening support in the app only opens your installed email app with a pre-filled recipient address. The information in a message is transmitted to Mannibest and the email providers involved only when you send it yourself. This information is used to handle your request and deleted after statutory retention periods expire.
9. App store and operating system
When downloading, purchasing or updating the app, Google and other platform providers may process data under their own responsibility. This also applies to storage or speech services you deliberately select. Their own privacy information applies. The app itself does not transmit learning progress to Mannibest.
10. Your data protection rights
Where Mannibest processes your personal data and the legal requirements are met, you have, in particular, rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent with effect for the future.
You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, [email protected], www.ldi.nrw.de.
You manage and delete purely local app data directly through profile management or Android app settings.
11. Children and data security
The learning content is also intended for children. Parents and guardians should supervise the choice of profile names, creation of backups and use of device, storage and speech services. Protect the device with a screen lock and keep Android up to date.
12. Changes to this policy
This privacy policy is updated when app features, services used or legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies.
